Aluminum in the microwave? Is that OK? I thought metal shouldn't be used in the microwave.

The aluminum is no problem. You should experiment with your microwave and see how long it takes. I wrote the minutes on the side for hard and soft boiled eggs. The thing is I never saw how much different this is than just boiling the eggs like I used to.

Will this work with jumbo size eggs?

Yes, I have a 1200 watt microwave and I cook 4 large eggs for six minutes and I cook 4 jumbo-extra large eggs for six and a half minutes. Hope that helps your customer.

Is the cook tome less for two eggs?

The directions are very ambiguous. I would not buy this item. I returned it. Does not work well at all and gets very hot and is hard to open!
